Behind the Logo

Our FishCAST logo was designed with specific aspirations and goals we aim to achieve through our training program: 

  • The upward-looking fish is meant to be an inspirational image, one where there is hope for the future. 

  • The circle surrounding the logo represents Inclusivity; FishCAST is a firm supporter of JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity). It doesn’t form a complete circle, symbolizing the work that still needs to be done. 

  • All lines in the logo are interconnected, symbolizing the highly collaborative partnership amongst all members of FishCAST, including the connection we all have to water- our life-supporting system.
