Dr. Semeniuk uses transdisciplinary approaches to predict fish responses to environmental change in wild- and hatchery fish. She works at the boundary of social sciences and STEM, and is active in freshwater fisheries Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (JEDI) policy development.

Katrina is guiding multiple threads of Indigenous engagement, partnership and participation in FishCAST. She has a background in ecological monitoring and community engagement and will work to ensure that FishCAST provides local training and employment opportunities to support the goal of decolonizing science and supporting indigenous capacity-building.
